Illinois Cash Pop
The popular Cash Pop lottery format arrived in Illinois in October 2026, by which time it was already being played in 17 other states across the US! This unique lottery draw game lets players determine their own prize odds and wager amounts, and holds 18 draws per day!

How to Play IL Cash Pop
Cash Pop can be played at any IL Lottery retailer, or online using the IL Lottery's iLottery platform. Although this game is played in many other states, each state holds its own draws and the rules vary slightly from state to state.
To begin with, select one or more numbers (or 'Pops', as they're known in Cash Pop) from 1-15. In each draw, one winning number is chosen, and yours needs to match it to win a prize. You can enter multiple Pops per ticket, or even cover all 15 Pops to guarantee a prize, although the actual prize might not be worth as much as the ticket cost.
Next, choose your wager amount. You can pick from $1 per Pop, $2, $5, or $10. There are nine prize tiers ranging from 5x to 250x your wager amount, giving IL Cash Pop a top prize of $2,500!
Decide how many draws you'd like to enter. Using a single play slip, you can enter your Pops in up to 18 consecutive draws, equivalent to a full 24 hours of play.
Buy your tickets and wait for the next draw! To calculate the cost of your ticket, take the dollar value of your wager and multiply it by the number of Pops you picked, then multiply the result by the number of draws you entered. Check our Cash Pop Numbers page for the results!
How to Win
To win, all you need to do is match the winning Pop for your draw. The actual prize amount you're eligible for is determined at the point of sale. When you purchase a ticket, each Pop you selected is assigned one of the nine prize tiers at random.
Prizes and Odds
Although your odds of winning are determined by the number of Pops you pick (from 1 in 15 to 15 in 15), the prize amounts you stand to win are picked randomly according to the odds below. Each wager amount gives the player slightly different prize tier odds:
